Talk Announcement – “Let’s build a LAMP stack in the browser and run WordPress without a server”by Berislav Grgičak

We’re happy to announce that Berislav Grgičak will be presenting at DORS/CLUC this year. He will introduce us to the inner workings of WordPress Playground and show how a full LAMP-like environment can run entirely in the browser — no server required.

Berislav has been working as a WordPress developer for over a decade, mostly building websites, plugins, and online shops. In early 2024, he joined the WordPress Playground core team, where he focuses on developing and promoting the project.

In this talk, Berislav will demonstrate how to build a LAMP stack alternative in the browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. He’ll explain how WordPress Playground runs WordPress in the browser and in Node.js, without a traditional server, and even while offline.
